500 California

Cory Creath, Principal Architect at AXIS/GFA Architecture + Design, was the Project Manager at Gensler for this addition and modernization of a Category One historic building in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District. The commercial architectural project called for seismically strengthening the building’s core while adding new high-speed elevators to serve re-purposed office floors. Unfortunately, the project was abandoned after being fully entitled and permitted.

Location:

San Francisco, California

Scale of Commercial Architectural Project:

Extensive architectural seismic upgrades, and the addition of new high-speed elevators. Structural Engineer was Steven Tipping & Associates.
